Clear the snow to reveal the chest and snag some treasures. Be sure to interact with the tree on the right—doing so will release some treasure critters that you can collect.

As you move up the hill toward the chalet, you’ll encounter a snowman. Use your dark-light to terrorize it, uncovering more treasures stored in its icy confines. A toboggan nearby can be revealed using the dark light, showcasing a portrait of a coin, which grants you several goodies. Keep an eye out for a bluey with a smug expression peeking through the chalet window, and don’t forget to check the BBQ for additional treasures before heading inside.

Inside the Chalet

As Luigi steps into the quaint chalet, he encounters two azure apparitions along with a violet one. The initial azure specter rests comfortably in a rocking chair, while the other two conceal themselves within a drawer positioned to the left of a bear skin rug. Delve into the drawer located at the rear of the room to discover a canine chew toy. Pull the bear's tail to unveil a gold ghost, which yields even more treasure upon defeat. With the room cleared, you'll be informed that Toad might be at the Fishing Hut, prompting you to exit via a backdoor that leads into the Smokehouse.

Exploring the Smokehouse

Begin by locating the first gem to the left of the fireplace in the Smokehouse. Utilize the dark light to reveal and retrieve it. While there, the fireplace and greenie ghosts will throw flaming coal balls at you. Defeat the ghosts and use the flaming coals to melt the ice barricading the door. Don't overlook the iced section at the far-left side; melting this will expose a rope that, when pulled, showers you with treasure.

Discovering the Ice Lake

Exiting through the right door will lead you to the Ice Lake. Seek out the hidden door near the cabin using the dark light, and head around the corner to tug on a boat, revealing a Boo inside. Enter the cabin and vacuum up all the snow on the ground to reveal a portrait reflection on the wall—use the dark light on this spot to free Toad. Unfortunately, his excitement causes both of you to tumble into the caves below.

Traversing the Caves

While in the caves, direct your attention to the bottom-left corner of the Fishing Hut, where you can find a gem hidden under the floorboards. Navigate as close as possible to wiggle the gem free. You must also pull a pair of cords to release a golden ghost from a fish head on the left. Next, use the airflow to ascend to the top level.

Secret Mine: Gem #3

Here's a trick: bring Toad along and let the airflow carry you both up. Then, shoot Toad down a well to dislodge another hidden gem. Continue using the airflow on the higher level to collect treasures strewn across the other side of the area. From here, proceed to the terminal, where you’ll discover an inactivated zip line.

High Wires and the Treasure Hunt

Head out the north door in the terminal to reach the High Wires. Utilize the Poltergust to ride across to the opposite side and suck down the gem from a bird's nest. Use binoculars to locate the end of a chain, then smartly toss Toad into a trolley that raises a necessary key. With the key in hand, return to the terminal and unlock the door to Prospector’s Crossing.

Finding the Hidden Gem
